The Deputy Chairman of the State Committee Alexander Lashin took part in the meeting with the Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan
In his welcoming speech Alexander Lashin noted that the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan became one of the first foreign agencies with whom the State Committee established cooperation at the very beginning of its work. In 2015 the State Committee formalized its succession to the rights and obligations of the Ministry of Justice in the Agreement on Cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the field of forensic examination. “The State Committee considers cooperation with expert agencies of the CIS countries a priority area in international cooperation”, noted Alexander Lashin. That’s why the Belarusian side initiated the formation of the Coordinating Council of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of forensic expert activity. The Agreement on its formation was signed on October 13, 2023 at the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS in Bishkek after two years of work.
In response the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan emphasized the interest in the practical experience of the State Committee, the possibility of developing advanced training programs for foreign trainees at the Institute of the State Committee and to be trained by Belarusian colleagues.
At the end of the event the Belarusian and Azerbaijani participants confirmed their intention to expand mutual cooperation.

The delegation of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan headed by the Minister Fikrat Mammadov took part in the event as guests of honor.
