The draft Agreement on the formation of the Coordinating Council in the field of forensic expert activity is being worked on in the Commonwealth of Independent States 22 september 2022

The next meeting of the expert group to agree on the draft Agreement on the formation of the Interstate Council of Heads of Forensic Examination Bodies of the Member States of the CIS was held on September, 21 in Minsk.

Representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee participated in the meeting in the online conference mode.
During the meeting the experts changed the name of the document to ”draft Agreement on formation of the Coordinating Council of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of forensic expert activity“.
The participants of the meeting taking into account the comments and suggestions from the States after a comprehensive discussion finalized and agreed on the draft Agreement. It was decided to submit it in the established order to the meeting of the Council of the Heads States of the CIS.
Note that the main purpose of the development of partnership relations in the field of forensic expert activity in the Member States of the CIS is to further resolution of the tasks of protecting the rights and freedoms of citizen and the interests of their states through objective science-based examinations and expert research.
The draft Agreement on the formation of the Coordinating Council in the field of forensic expert activity provides for the approval of the Regulations on the Council which as a body of sectoral cooperation of the CIS is designed within its competence to ensure the organization and coordination of interaction between forensic expert bodies in forensic expert activity and constructive cooperation with international organizations and their structures.
