The working meeting of the Chairman of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus Alexey Volkov and the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin took place 2 november 2021

The working meeting of the Chairman of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation took place today as part of his visit to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus. The Heads of two agencies discussed topical issues of developing bilateral cooperation in the field of forensic expert activity during the meeting.

It should be noted that in 2020 the Forensic Expert Center of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation was established, so the Russian colleagues were interested in the experience of functioning and organizing of the activity of the unified expert agency of the Republic of Belarus. In particular, Alexander Bastrykin was interested in the experience of Belarusian colleagues in organizing and conducting forensic medical examinations in criminal cases related to improper medical care.

The Chairman of the State Forensic Examination Committee Alexey Volkov informed about the main directions of development of the unified expert agency of the Republic of Belarus and expressed readiness to exchange scientific experience with Russian colleagues.

As a result of the meeting the parties expressed their intensions to further development of interagency cooperation in the field of forensic expert activity.

At the end of the meeting the Chairman of the State Forensic Examination Committee Alexey Volkov presented Alexander Bastrykin the Badge of Merit of the State Committee “For interaction”.
