The representatives of the State Forensic Examination Committee took part in the sixth meeting of the collegiums of the Investigative Committees of Russia and Belarus 13 october 2023

The sixth meeting of the collegiums of the Investigative Committees of Russia and Belarus was held in Sochi on October 12. The delegation of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus headed by the Chairman Major General of Justice Alexey Volkov took part in the event.

The Deputy Chairman of the State Committee Colonel of Justice Alexey Aleshkevich and the Head of the Directorate of the State Committee in Mogilev region Colonel of Justice Yaroslav Fedorinchik also took part in the event as part of the Belarusian delegation.

The topic of the meeting of the collegiums ”The effective counteraction to crime in the field of information technology in the context of globalization“ is more relevant than ever, since the information sphere is becoming of key importance for a person, society and the state. In this regard in the context of globalization in order to effectively respond to emerging risks, challenges and threads it is necessary to exchange best practices. ”Sectoral cooperation between our agencies is becoming the most promising form of international cooperation. Coordinated actions in law enforcement and other spheres contribute to the emergence of new means and methods of countering crime, including in the field of information technologies“, noted Alexey Volkov in his opening speech.


It is important for the expert community to possess innovative technologies and the latest achievements in a wide range of scientific knowledge. After all, this is what determines the vector of development of forensic expert activity.
”Participation in the meeting of the collegiums will allow to identify promising areas of improvement and in close cooperation contribute to improving the effectiveness of countering crime in the field of information technology“, noted Alexey Volkov.


Yaroslav Fedorinchik made a report during the event. In his speech he outlined the results and achievements of forensic expert activity in the Republic of Belarus in the field of countering cybercrime.
The meeting of the collegiums ended with the solemn laying of flowers at the Eternal Flame and the Alley of Marshals of the Zavokzalny Memorial Complex in memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War.
