The delegation of the State Forensic Examination Committee is paying a visit to the Republic of Tatarstan 12 july 2024

From July 10 to 13, 2024 the delegation of the State Forensic Examination Committee headed by the Deputy Chairman – Chief State Forensic Medical Expert of the Republic of Belarus Mr. Yurii Ovsiyuk is paying a working visit to Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation).

The main purpose of the visit is to strengthen interstate cooperation between forensic medical expert community, to learn experience of the Russian colleagues in implementing forensic medical criminalistic examinations and activities to develop new types of forensic medical examinations.

Belarusian experts visited the Republican Bureau of Forensic Medicine of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, got acquainted with its structure and activities of the specialized clinical departments. Particular interest was caused by the practice of implementing x-ray medical criminalistic examinations, the use of magnetic resonance imaging in forensic medical activity to develop new types and subtypes of forensic medical examinations that were not previously practiced by the State Committee.

During the meeting with the Head of the Bureau and his Deputies the Head of the delegation Mr. Yurii Ovsiyuk presented the experience and achievements of the State Committee in the field of conducting various types and subtypes of forensic medical examinations.
In addition, the Belarusian delegation visited a number of educational institutions in Kazan – the Kazan State Medical Academy, the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University where they got acquainted with the peculiarities of training specialists with a certificate of a forensic medical expert in internship and postgraduate education cycles in radiology diagnostics.
