The delegation of the National Bureau of Expertises of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia visited the Scientific and Practical Center of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus 13 july 2022

The delegation of the National Bureau of Expertises of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia headed by the Director Argam Ovsepyan visited the Scientific and Practical Center of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus from 13 to 17 June of this year.

The visit was planned as part of the implementation of the Agreement on cooperation signed in Yerevan in May 2022 between the Scientific and Practical Center of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the National Bureau of Expertises of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.

Within the framework of the visit, the Armenian delegation visited the Central Office of the State Committee and the Minsk City Directorate of the State Forensic Examination Committee.

During the official visit the capabilities and technical equipment of the laboratories of drug and psychotropic substances, their precursors and analogues, gemological laboratory, spectral analysis laboratory, research laboratory of metals and alloys, gunshot residue, petroleum products and ballistics examinations were demonstrated to the Armenian delegation.

The greatest interest of foreign colleagues was caused by the experience of Belarussian experts in conducting forensic histological, forensic chemical, medical criminalistics, genetic and forensic psychiatric examinations. During the visiting of expert laboratories, the Armenian delegation exchanged views with Belarussian colleagues on cooperation in the field of forensic examination and providing scientific and methodological assistance to each other in various areas of scientific and expert activity.
