The experience of Belarusian forensic medical experts will be taken into account in the organization of the genetic laboratory in Moldova, the Director of the Center of Forensic Medicine of Moldova Valery Savchuk told the media, the BelTA correspondent reports.
«We will soon open a genetic laboratory and we need a consultation from the Belarusian side», - said Valery Savchuk.
Genetic studies are very expensive, but justified, the Director of the Center of Forensic Medicine added. Earlier, the Moldovan law enforcement agencies had to appoint genetic examinations for their conduct in Belarus, Romania or Ukraine. However, this involves large financial costs. Creating your own genetic laboratory will increase the level of expert activity. As a result the solving crimes of past years will increase.
Forensic experts from Belarus and Moldova have been fruitfully cooperating for many years. The opportunity to improve the skills of experts is organized, and joint events are held. «We are always in close touch. We constantly consult on various issues, some types of examinations. There were cases when we sent our examinations to Belarus to confirm the conclusions», - Valery Savchuk noted.
In the run-up to their professional day, Belarusian forensic experts are holding the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Eurasian forensic experts’ partnership: challenges, problems, ways of solutions and prospects of development» on April, 19-20. Representatives of more than 30 expert institutions from more than 20 countries participated in the Conference. At the breakout sessions, experts exchanged experience in organizing and conducting research in the field of forensic medical, forensic technical, forensic criminalistic and other types of examinations. Foreign colleagues will be shown both Belarusian developments of technical solutions for forensic activities and products from world manufacturers.
