During the official visit of the Head of State to Uzbekistan, the Agreement on cooperation in the field of forensic medicine was signed between the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
The document was signed by the Chairman of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Shved and management of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
The document provides that the parties will develop and strengthen long-term cooperation in the following priority areas: exchange of experience and information in the field of forensic medical examination, research and development, planned scientific and methodological and practical activities (scientific conferences, seminars, exhibitions in the field of forensic medicine), improvement of hardware and software tools and methods of expert research used in conducting forensic medical examinations, coordination of scientific work on the problems of forensic medical examination in the form of joint development of methods and techniques of forensic medical examination, implementation of scientific developments, implementation of author’s support and implementation of developments in expert practice, training and advanced training of personnel on the basis of joint seminars, courses on the development of new methods and techniques of forensic medical examination and organization of mutual training of specialists.
Belarus and Uzbekistan also plan to implement joint scientific and technical projects and programs, to test research methods and technical means in the field of forensic medicine.
It should be noted that this Agreement is not the first in the Committee’s list of international agreements concluded with Uzbek agencies. Previously, Agreements were concluded in the field of forensic activity with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Experts from these agencies have already visited the Republic of Belarus within the framework of the conference, devoted to the 5th anniversary of the State Committee, which was held in Minsk in April this year.
During the visit Andrei Shved also met with the management of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan. The State Committee concluded an Agreement on cooperation with the Ministry of Justice in the field of forensic activity in the spring of this year.
During the meeting, key areas of cooperation were discussed; the management of the agencies confirmed their intention to continue constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan in the field of forensic activity.
The conclusion of Agreements with three Ministries of the Republic of Uzbekistan will allow further implementation of bilateral contacts in all expert areas of the State Committee’s activities.
