The meeting with the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Syrian Arab Republic was held at the State Committee today. This is the first visit of the Syrian colleagues to the State Committee.

The Syrian delegation is headed by the Division General Nasser Dib – the Director of the criminal security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Syrian Arab Republic. During the meeting, representatives of two sides confirmed their focus on strengthening constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarus and Syria in the field of forensic activity, and discussed key promising areas of cooperation. During the official meeting with the Chairman of the State Committee Major Genaral of Justice Andrei Shved, special attention was paid to carrying out joint activities to improve the professional knowledge of specialists in the field of forensic activity.

In the framework of the visit, which will last from August 19 to 23, Syrian colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs will get acquainted in more detail with the experience of Belarusian experts in such examinations as: drug and psychotropic substances, their precursors and analogues, petroleum products and combustibles and lubricants, forensic genetic, explosion, ballistics, as well as conducting elemental and phase analysis, molecular spectral analysis, metallographic analysis, research of documents and banknotes.
