Forensic experts from the Minsk City Directorate together with colleagues from other Directorates of the State Committee and the Scientific and Practical Center of the State Committee took part in the training course «Dactyloscopy and technical examination of documents», which was held at the Gujarat Forensic Science University of the Republic of India.

The training was attended by a group of 29 people, which included law enforcement officials from Belarus, Bhutan, Ghana, Malawi, Lebanon, Afghanistan, South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and the island of Mauritius.

Professor of Gujarat University Guna spoke to forensic experts and told them about the structure of the educational institution, its priority areas of work, the organization of the educational process and research activities.

No less interesting was a University sightseeing tour with a visit to the institutes that are part of its structure: Institute of Forensic Science, Institute of Behavioural Science and Institute of Research and Development.

In the framework of the training, fingerprinting lessons, financial fraud («White Collar Crimes»), physical methods for detecting handprints, as well as the organization of work with handprints at the crime scene, research and comparison of fingerprints using ADIS, chemical methods for detecting handprints on various surfaces, technical examination of documents, handwriting examination, and the evidentiary value of expert opinions in the courts of India were held.

Besides, the judge of the city court of Ahmedabad, doctor of law J.Yagnik and the Department forensic officer of Gujarat Dr.H.Asara spoke to forensic experts.

In the framework of the excursion part of the course the forensic experts visited the Akshardham Hindu cult temple complex in Gandhinagar, the Mahatma Gandhi house-museum, and many other sightseeing.

Forensic experts showed representatives of law enforcement agencies of foreign countries an introductory film about the State Committee, told about its activities. The provided information aroused wide and genuine interest among representatives of foreign states.

The visit helped to establish and develop the scientific, professional and international relations, as well as to strengthen the positive image of the State Committee at the international level.
