The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Belarus Tae Jun Youl visited the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
Remind that in March of this year, a Memorandum of understanding was signed between the State Committee and the National Forensic Service of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea.
The signed Memorandum provides for cooperation between the expert agencies of two countries in such areas as training of experts, the exchange of expert experience and also the latest researches in the field of forensic activity. Issues and practical directions for its implementation are now being considered.
In the framework of the visit, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Tae Jun Youl had the opportunity to get aquatinted with some areas of State Committee’s activity. Belorussian experts demonstrated technical equipment and familiarized with the work of drug examination laboratories, psychotropic substances, their precursors and analogues, petroleum products and combustibles and lubricants laboratories, laboratories for elemental and phase analysis, molecular spectral analysis, metallographic analysis, as well as laboratories for conducting gemological examinations. The representative from the Republic of Korea highly praised the organization of work of the unified Belarusian expert agency.
During the meeting questions and prospects of cooperation were discussed. The Belorussian and Korean sides have confirmed their interest in the mutual exchange of experience in expert activity in such areas as DNA examination, computer and technical examinations and other kinds of expert research.
