The visit of the delegation of the Department of Forensic Examinations of the Royal Police of Thailand took place on October, 26 at the Central Office of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus. During the visit the capabilities of the State Committee in the field of forensic examinations, the material and technical equipment of expert laboratories, as well as the equipment used by experts to solve expert tasks during research were demonstrated to foreign colleagues.

The delegation visited laboratories of drug and psychotropic substances, their precursors and analogues, gemological laboratory, spectral analysis laboratory, research laboratory of metals and alloys, gunshot residue and petroleum products. The Thai guests were particularly interested in the experience of the forensic experts of the Directorate of Documents, Banknotes and Handwriting Examinations.

Foreign colleagues noted the modern technical equipment of expert laboratories and the high level of professional training of Belarusian specialists.

This visit is the first stage in the development of relations with Thai forensic experts, which will expand and strengthen in the future.

At the end of the visit key areas of cooperation were discussed. Both sides confirmed their intention to continue constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Kingdom of Thailand in the field of forensic expert activity.
