The representatives of the State Forensic Examination Committee held a working meeting with experts of the Southern Regional Center for Forensics of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation 9 november 2022

The staff of the General Directorate of Forensic Examinations of the Central Office of the State Committee held a working meeting with the experts of the Southern Regional Center for Forensics of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on the topic “Current state and prospects for the development of forensic technical examination of documents” from 1 to 3 November, 2022.

During the meeting the specialists of the State Committee got acquainted with the current state of expert activity of the Center in conducting the technical examination of documents.

The greatest interest was aroused by the organization and use of the technique of “Determining the prescription of the execution of requisites in documents by the relative content of volatile solvents in strokes” at the practical level. Problematic issues in the field of application of this technique, taking into account the features of special equipment and the condition of the objects under study, were discussed. Special attention was paid to the approaches used in the interpretation of the results obtained and the formulation of conclusions in expert’s reports.

During the meeting the methodological and practical approaches to the identification of printing devices implementing the method of electrophotographic printing, as well as writing instruments, were discussed.

Special attention was paid to the technical means used by Russian colleagues during the forensic technical examination of documents (requisites of documents).

The information and methodological materials obtained during the working meeting will improve the professional level of experts, the quality of technical examinations of documents, will create favorable conditions for further development of the research of both requisites and materials of documents in the Republic of Belarus.
