Today during the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS the Agreement on the formation of the Coordinating Council of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of forensic expert activity has been signed in Bishkek.
The State Forensic Examination Committee took the initiative to develop a draft of this Agreement as part of the implementation of the Concept of the Chairmanship of the Republic of Belarus in the CIS in 2021. And today the Agreement has been signed after several years during which the work on the provisions of the draft with the forensic expert agencies of the CIS Member States was carried out under the auspices of the CIS Executive Committee.
The unity of the tasks of the forensic experts dictates the need to consolidate efforts, including within the international structures. The signed document will expand the possibilities of cooperation within the CIS in the field of forensic expert activity. The work of the Coordinating Council of the Member States of the CIS will allow deepening integration processes within the CIS, increasing the effectiveness of cooperation in solving problems arising in the field of forensic expert activity caused by globalization and new challenges of our time.
