Representatives of the Embassies and the CIS Executive Committee visited the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus 2 september 2022

The delegation of representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and diplomatic missions of the Member States of the CIS in the Republic of Belarus visited the State Forensic Examination Committee today. The purpose of the event was the development of international cooperation and partnership relations in the field of forensic expert activity within the CIS.

During the visit the delegation got acquainted with the structure of the State Committee, visited the laboratory of the Central Office of the State Committee of drug and psychotropic substances examinations, their precursors and analogues, the laboratory for conducting gemological examinations, paint and polymer materials, metals and combustibles and lubricants.



The delegation got acquainted with the work of automated fingerprint identification system ”Dacto-2000“, technical means for documents and banknotes examinations, software complex ”Mobile Criminalist“ and workplaces in the areas of expert research, the products of RUE ”Belsudexpertobespechenie“, the educational programs of the Institute of Further Training and Retraining of the Personnel, the activity of the Scientific and Practical Center of the State Committee during a visit to the exposition of modern expert capabilities.

The representatives of the delegation got acquainted with the unique Belarusian experience in the field of forensic examination for the first time. The results of the reform of the forensic expert sphere of the Republic of Belarus have been highly appreciated more than once. Today’s meeting was no exception which is of particular importance in view of the ongoing work on the draft Agreement on the formation of the Interstate Council of Heads of Forensic Examination Bodies of the Member States of the CIS.



The main purpose of the functioning of the Council will be the creation of a unified forensic expert space for constructive dialogue and experience exchange, the implementation of specific organizational and practical measures aimed at improving the quality of forensic expert activity in the CIS countries.
