The Deputy Chairman of the State Forensic Examination Committee Mr. Alexey Aleshkevich together with the delegation of the Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China visited the Khatyn Memorial Complex.

Khatyn is a symbol of the national grief for Belarusians. Hitler’s invaders burned and shot 149 civilians, including 75 children.

Being created on the place of those tragic events, the Memorial is the embodiment of the deep bitterness, suffering and sacrifices of Belarusians during the Great Patriotic War.

The bells of Khatyn remind us of the fragility of peace and the value of life calling us to think and comprehend our past, to realize the value of the price paid for the opportunity to live today under a peaceful sky.

Members of the foreign delegation and representatives of the State Committee visited the exhibition halls of the museum and the open area of the Khatyn Memorial Complex. At the end of the event the participants honored the memory of the victims by bowing their heads at the Eternal Flame.
