Chief of the Forensic Psychiatric Department of the Mogilev Region Directorate of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus A.Balashov took part at the 16th Congress of the European Society for Biomedical Research on Alcoholism (ESBRA 2017) which was held in Hersonissos, Greece during 8 – 11 October 2017.
The Congress became an ideal place for researchers and clinicians to cooperate and share experience in the sphere of scientific researches related to the influence of alcohol on a human body. Following modern trends the Organizing Committee of the Congress scheduled a scientific program which encouraged the presentation of innovative ideas in a thoughtful and friendly environment.
The general themes of the Congress were various topical issues of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of alcohol addiction, the influence of alcohol on human body organs and systems, biochemical processes, cognitive and emotional responses.
This event allowed making poster presentation at the leading European Congress, getting unique modern scientific knowledge from the leading European specialists, sharing experience with representatives of the international scientific community as well as establishing professional contacts with European colleagues.
As a result of the participation at the Congress qualification and scientific knowledge were enhanced and this unique knowledge will be transferred to expert-psychiatrists of the State Forensic Examination Committee.
