Within the framework of the Symposium the representative of the Belarusian delegation the Head of the Directorate of forensic biological examinations Sergei Borovko made a report «Problematic issues of DNA identification». The report outlined the organization of expert work in the State Forensic Examination Committee, the main activities of the departments that conduct DNA examinations and research, reflected the results of expert, scientific and teaching activities in the field of DNA analysis and provided examples of successful expert work in specific expert cases. The report was highly appreciated by the organizers and guests of the Conference.
On October 25-26, 2018 Minsk hosts the International Science and Practice Conference «History and modernity of forensic education» dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the State Educational Institution «Institute of Further Training and Retraining of the Personnel of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus» which brought together more than 200 representatives from 6 countries of the world.
Currently the delegation of the State Committee headed by the Chairman Andrei Shved is in the Republic of Korea with the official visit to establish and develop a partnership between expert agencies of both countries.
Today, on October 10, 2018, an international treaty was signed in Belgrade – the Agreement on cooperation in the field of forensic activity between the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia. The document was signed by the Chairman of the State Forensic Examination Committee Andrei Shved and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia Nebojsa Stefanovic.
The Chairman of the State Forensic Examination Committee Andrei Shved and the Chief of State Police of the Republic of Latvia Ints Kuzis signed the Agreement on cooperation in the field of forensic examination on October 4, 2018.
