The delegation of the State Forensic Examination Committee returned from the Gulf Cooperation Council’s Forensic Science Conference, which was held by the Abu Dhabi Police on October 31, 2018 in Abu Dhabi.
Within the framework of the Symposium the representative of the Belarusian delegation the Head of the Directorate of forensic biological examinations Sergei Borovko made a report «Problematic issues of DNA identification». The report outlined the organization of expert work in the State Forensic Examination Committee, the main activities of the departments that conduct DNA examinations and research, reflected the results of expert, scientific and teaching activities in the field of DNA analysis and provided examples of successful expert work in specific expert cases. The report was highly appreciated by the organizers and guests of the Conference.

Also during the conference issues of further interaction with forensic experts of the Abu Dhabi Police (UAE) were discussed and partnerships were established with forensic expert organizations of the Kuwait and Bahrain Police, possible areas of cooperation in the field of forensic activity were discussed.
This isn’t the first visit within the framework of developing partnership relations between experts from Belarus and the UAE, which have been cooperating since 2014. The purpose of the visit of Belarusian experts to the UAE was to develop Belarusian-Arab relations in the field of forensic examination and will contribute to the development of mutual dialogue between expert institutions of both countries.
