On August 10, 2021 forensic experts of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus held an online webinar on issues related to forensic psychology of juveniles. The program of this event was developed together with experts of the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization taking into account the issues of mutual interest.
Lyudmila Moon the Head of the Department of Psychological and Physiological Research and Vladimir Semyonov the Head of the Department of the Forensic Psychological Examinations were the speakers from the State Committee. The representatives from the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization were Dr. Qadi Pasha the Medical and Laboratory Deputy of the organization, Dr. Saberi the Head of Psychiatry Department, Dr. Mehdizadeh the Head of Clinical Examinations Department.
Representatives from 31 provinces of the Islamic Republic of Iran also took part in the online event remotely.
The expert tasks, solved during conducting forensic psychological examinations in relation to juvenile defendants and victims, were discussed and proposals for conducting joint psychological research and developing diagnostic procedures, that take into account the cultural characteristics of the studied persons, were received.
This webinar isn’t the first event of this type. Earlier two training seminars in the online conference mode were held for Iranian colleagues in July and August 2020. The active interaction of experts in the field of forensic psychiatry is the result of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus and the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization in the field of forensic activity signed in November, 2019.
