The State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus was visited by the delegation of the Republic of Azerbaijan headed by the Director of the Forensic Sciences Center of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan Republic Fuad Javadov.
Before the formation of the State Committee the Center of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan cooperated with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, with which an Agreement on cooperation in the field of forensic activity was signed on June 28, 2012. However, after the formation of the State Committee, Azerbaijani experts expressed interest in establishing contacts with the new expert agency, and in 2015, a succession was formalized within the framework of the named Agreement on cooperation.
The interest expressed in the organization of forensic activities in our country indicates the development of interstate dialogue and the realization of the potential of strategic partnership. Earlier in 2016, the experts of the Center arrived to the State Committee for an internship, and this year they took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference, which was held in the State Committee on April 19-20.
The main purpose of visiting the unified Belarusian expert agency is to get acquainted with the experience in the organization of a unified expert structure. In particular, the Azerbaijani colleagues are interested in the experience of organizing and conducting forensic medical and forensic psychiatric examinations.
During this visit the Head of the Center of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Head of the General Directorate of Forensic Medical Examination of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan get acquainted with the main areas of activity of the State Committee, the expert equipment used and the methodological approaches used in the Republic of Belarus to conduct examinations, especially forensic medical and forensic psychiatric examinations. At the very beginning of their visit the Azerbaijani colleagues highly appreciated the instrument base and expert capabilities of the State Committee.
During the visit the parties also exchanged views on the most promising and topical areas of cooperation in the field of forensic activity, and discussed the opportunity of deepening mutually beneficial cooperation.
The Azerbaijani side highly appreciated the experience of modernizing the State Committee’s expert equipment. Foreign guests also paid attention to issues related to the training of Belarusian experts and methodological support for their activities.
By the way, the experience of the unified expert agency is a subject of a great interest among foreign colleagues. So, only in the last 2 months the State Committee has signed 7 Agreements on cooperation in the field of forensic activity with expert organizations of foreign countries.
