Today the visit of representatives of the Gujarat Forensic Science University to the State Forensic Examination Committee took place. The purpose of the visit was the signing of two Agreements on cooperation between the Gujarat Forensic Science University and the «Scientific and Practical Center of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus» and the «Institute of Further Training and Retraining of the Personnel of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus».
From the Indian side, the scientific secretary of the Gujarat Forensic Science University C.D. Jadeja and the Head of the International Department of the Gujarat Forensic Science University Ravish Shah took part in negotiations.
From the side of the State Committee, the foreign delegation was received by the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee Maksim Vonorin, the Head of the «Scientific and Practical Center of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus» Igor Moroz and the Rector of the «Institute of Further Training and Retraining of the Personnel of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus» Irena Lapina.
During the visit, foreign representatives got acquainted with the main activities of the State Committee, visited drug and psychotropic substances laboratories, their precursors and analogues, petroleum, material, substances and items research laboratories, visited laboratories of ballistic examination (shooting gallery and ballistic records), got acquainted with the organization of training at the «Institute of Further Training and Retraining of the Personnel of the State Forensic Examination Committee of the Republic of Belarus».
The result of the meeting was the signing of Agreements on cooperation, which will allow further implementation of practice-oriented training programs for specialists, including in the field of genetics, psychology and others, to organize and conduct joint scientific and scientific-practical conferences, exchange scientific articles and methods developed by the parties, etc.
This is the first visit of the Indian side to the State Committee, and foreign guests stressed that it is important for them not only to sign the Agreements directly, but, first of all, to implement the measures stipulated in the Agreements. In the near future Belarusian experts are planning to visit the Republic of India to exchange experience and determine further specific areas of cooperation.
